What’s in the box?

  • 1 × Calibrated sensor system
  • 1 × M8-to-M8 high-flex cable
  • 1 × USB/CAN communications bridge

Can I customize this sensor?

Yes. This model can be tuned to your specs. Onboard Ethernet or EtherCAT IN/OUT is also available. Contact an engineer: product@forcen.tech

Where can I download the software and API?

After you order, a product engineer will transfer the documentation, visualization software, and API for your specific model—free with purchase.

Do I need a communications bridge?

The sensor outputs USB and CAN natively. You can integrate directly via an M8 connector (follow the pinout in the manual). To test with Ethernet or EtherCAT, you’ll need an external ENET or ECAT bridge.

Does the sensor come calibrated?

Yes. Every ForceN sensor is calibrated and compensated for off-axis loading.

What is “Usable Overload”?

With Dedicated Overload technology, you can load the sensor to its rated overload (e.g., 500% of rated range) for the rated quantity (e.g., 5,000 cycles) with no degradation in performance or accuracy. Some customers choose to tare after an overload event.

What data do I have access to?

Calibrated Force (Fx, Fy, Fz) and Moment (Mx, My, Mz), depending on model DOF. If equipped with a 6-axis IMU, acceleration and orientation data are also available.

I’m having issues—who do I contact?
